My name is Charlotte Hughes-Long and I grew up on the family dairy farm just outside Dannevirke.
I have always had an interest in agriculture and known that a career in the rural sector was something I wanted to pursue. This led me to study Agri-Science at Massey University in Palmerston North. After graduating I moved to Australia with my twin sister living and working in Brisbane for two years.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, hunting, going to festivals and road tripping to see different parts of our beautiful country.
I’m so excited to be involved with SIL and for the launch of the new sheep DNA service and can’t wait to get to know you all.
