Studstock photographers are so valuable in the lead up to sale day, and we are extremely fortunate to have Ben Doubleday capturing a good chunk of the South Island. Read more to find out who Ben is and take a sneak peek into some  recent images Ben has captured.

My name is Ben Doubleday and I run Ben Doubleday Photography. I specialise in stud livestock and rural photography. I have had a farming background with my grandad (Derek Hubbard) being a farmer, and most of my life I have worked on farms. The past 10 years I have been working at Maple Genetics which breeds stud Dorpers, Texels, Beltex, and Valais Black Nose sheep.

In the past 5 months I have transitioned into full-time photography. This year I have travelled around most of the South Island bull sales for the winter and spring sales, photographing for agriculture companies as well as for the breeders.

I also do catalogue filming for breeders for when they use Bidr. Having my farming background with the stud sheep, it helps as I know how an animal needs to stand to show off their best potential. With ram sale season about to kick off, I am available for filming/photographing rams for catalogue or photography/videography for your ram sale.
