TWO years ago we imported embryos and semen from one of the world’s rarest breeds of cattle called Pustertal, there are less than 500 purebred females in the world.

It is becoming very wet, and the ground is becoming soaked and puggie. Beef and lamb prices are rising worldwide but not over here. We are becoming controlled by monopolies as are many of the agriculture commodities in other countries.  
CEDARWOOD SIMMENTAL DISPERSAL

On the 5th July 2010 the Cedarwood Simmental Stud was dispersed at the Kaikohe saleyards. Some of the younger cows were light in condition but overall the cattle came forward in very good order considering that most of Northland had been through a severe drought. There was a total clearance giving the following results...

At the annual Cromwell Calf Fair Simmental cross Steers from Kawarau Station, Bannockburn, topped the market at $645. Their Simmental cross also topped the heifer’s section at $490.
