About PBB

PBBNZ Ltd was established in 1996 as a mechanism for the Angus and Hereford breed associations to collectively own a service that would provide administrative and technology services to its combined membership. This proved to be beneficial to both societies and in 2005 the model was expanded to allow other Beef Breeding societies to gain a shareholding in the company. Since then, PBB has grown, both in staff numbers and the services it provides. In 2008 it moved from its Kimbolton Road premises, to a purpose built complex situated on the fringe of Feilding’s CBD in South Street. This is now the home to PBB, the Angus and Hereford Breed Managers, and three commercial tenants; Beef & Lamb NZ, AgITO and World Skills.

As PBB has grown, and through its shareholding model it is able to benefit from “economies of scale” providing a ‘one stop shop’ approach to a vast range of products and services, these include:

PBBNZ is a limited liability company with strong commercially focused governance by a Board of Directors comprising of six members who are nominated by the shareholders (Breed Societies).
